Requirements
a) BSc (Hons) in Drilling, Petroleum, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or
Manufacturing /Production Engineering or a closely related degree.
b) Zero to three (0-3) years of working experience.
c) Possession of relevant experience in Petroleum E&P Operations will be an added
advantage.
1. Participate in preparation of well design, well testing and drilling programs.
2. Assist in preparation of end of drilling and end of well testing reports.
3. Provide petroleum engineering support to drilling and well test operations.
4. Assist in monitoring acquisition and interpretation of engineering data.
5. Assist in review and analysis of technical reports on engineering studies conducted
by external consultants.
6. Participate in the development of operational procedures to ensure that all
exploration operations are conducted according to approved procedures.
7. Participate in preparation of Work Programs and Budgets for Exploration and
Appraisal campaigns.
8. Identify and evaluate technical, regulatory and economic risks associated with
geological aspects exploration projects.
9. Participate in the development of risk mitigation strategies and ensure compliance
with industry standards and regulations.
10. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental
considerations during exploration activities.
11. Participate in evaluation and recommendation of industry leading geological
technologies, tools and software for exploration projects.
12. Propose and implement innovative approaches within exploration team to enhance
engineering data analysis and interpretation.
13. Provide regular updates and reports to Management and stakeholders on exploration
progress, drilling and other developments.
14. Participate in negotiation of joint venture agreements.
15. Participation in meetings with joint venture Partners and Authorities, when required.
16. Participate in petroleum engineering knowledge sharing initiatives.
